Ipod lead?.. where to drill?

Hi,
I've just got my alpine HU and it comes with an Ipod lead to connect my phone into it..however the lead connects into the rear of the HU so I am going to have to drill a small hole somewhere to poke the wire and lead through so I can connect it up..
Can you give me any idea where the best place is going to be to drill the hole so I can feed the lead through..
would through the glovebox or through the cubby hole under the strereo be the best place or is there anywhere else that I could use?

either drill into the cubby holder below the stero
or take the glovebox out, remove the side panel on passenger side and then feed a wire that way from back of stereo - no drilling required then. you can put your ipod around cup holder area.

is it much of a job to remove the glovebox and side panel?.. to be honest I dont know where you mean by feeding a wire through the side panel.. Seeing as though I am no where near electrically minded my local car audio place said they will fit it for £20 so I think i'll take it to them anyway.. hopefully they can sort the ipod lead out too and put it somewhere that is out the way and cant see a big hole in the cubby hole!

no, it's pretty easy. 10 min job. all you need is a screw driver with an appropriate torx head. if you take the glovebox out, you can get to the rear/side of the radio.
