In Dash Multichanger - Can it be fitted?

Hi, can the in dash cd changer be retro-fitted (i.e. is there anything I need Aapart from the unit itself)? Will I need to buy a unit with some sort of extra cable for it to work or is the cable pre-fitted?

Also, will the cd changer work as is, or does it need a code (some guys on ebay say they need coding to the car, some say it wil just work)

Any insights appreciated.

Yes you need to buy one with the patch lead included really. Could be a nightmare/expensive sourcing one.

Not entirely sure about the radio coding. You may just need to enter the code for your particular radio again. You can find it in the front of the service book.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong no doubt.

Thank you - the prices do vary quite a lot on ebay but I'm not sure if that include the patch lead or not.

By the way, is the multichanger same for Tuner List and Update List?

It will probably say if it includes the lead. You could always message the seller and ask.

You have to get the correct changer for your system. Tuner list and update list are completely different systems.

Just out of curiousity, what is the difference between Tuner List and Update List? Mine is Update List

Update list just uses a canbus communication system as far as I know, which is different to the original.
