Pioneer TS-Q131C

Postby hannson » Tue Nov 15, 2005 4:56 pm

got mine in the mail today.. thanks to Ray!

fitted the front speakers and will post more pics soon.

will work on the tweeters tomorrow (it's almost 1am in Singapore now) as I was working pretty late today..

The fitting is just so easy! (so far anyway)...

mid-range is stronger now.. definitely...
will change the tweeters tomorrow and provide more feedback.

use a small screwdriver with a bit of tape round it to stop any damage to the dash and lift up same for the tweeters they just pop out.

mate.. why does the base and mid range sound so much clearer now, just with change in speakers? is that possible? or is that just my "illusion"?

no.. it probably is better.
better quality of parts and a larger magnet help... which both cost money.. which manufacturers don't spend on speakers... unless u pay for the extra/better speakers from Renault.

my mate gets an Audi A3 tomorrow... he's getting the Bose sound option... its very cool sounding 8)

Am I right in thinking that you have just replaced the speaker, but kept the original head unit? I have an "Update List" standard unit, wasn't sure if it would have enough power to drive the Pioneer speakers...

hi europa,

u'd definitely right!

I have the original head unit.. but mine is a VDO TunerList.

actually.. does anyone have the tech specs of either the TunerList or UpdateList?

it'd be good to know what type of speakers it'd be able to drive.. or which speakers will be "blown to bits" by the HU

both are 4 x 15W.

Ordered my Ts-Q131Cs from germany... cost me EUR99 + shipping... but still cheaper than buying locally

Has anyone changed the speakers in the rear doors? Are they easy to get to, are you have to dismantle the door?
