Mine are getting better with age, I think running them in improves them. I was disappointed initially

Hey Guys,

Im from holland and i bought my Megane secondhand.
The previous owner bought ik without a radio and speakers and fitted an aftermarket HU and some speakers.

When i look at the TS-Q131C i see a mid range and a tweter but i dont see a "filter" witch send the high tones to the tweeter and the mid and low tones to the other speaker. Is the a "filter" mounted in the car when you buy this at the dealer of doesn't the TS-Q131C need one?

I hope that you guys understand what i am trying to say :P

Thanx

The tweeter has a filter on it to remove the low frequencies

Thanx,

I have one more question;
How does the wireing go?

There is a cable to my door (offcourse) for the "normal" speaker but does the cabble for the tweeter come from the door of th HU?

(sorry for the bad english)

TS-Q131C speakers have a full crossover, which is splited into high-pass filter and low-pass filter. Low-pass filter is directly on mid-range speaker, high-pass filter is directly on tweeter. It is similar solution of crossover like i.e. on Hertz Dietzi speakers (although they have filters separately from speakers).

I think it's wired by "Y" cable. One end of cable is drawn into door, second into dashboard and common end into HU.

I've just installed these 2 weeks ago. Very easy to install with the help of the guides from those who have done it already.

Sound was better quality, clearer.

Wanting to amp them now with an alpine 4x50wrms amp.

Can we still get these, i heard a rumour a while back that pioneer had stopped producing them.
I need to get a set as my stock speakers are garbage and let the rest of my system down...

i doubt pioneer have stopped producing these. their R&D costs need to be met! plus the Megane is still an active model.

Availability will be limited by a lot of online retailers. Best bet is a pioneer authorised retailer. look on the pioneer website for nearest one to you. if you're lucky they'll have an online shop!
