Sound system

Postby jm85 » Mon Jan 25, 2010 5:37 pm

Hi everyone,

Ive recently aquired an 03 3 door Megane DCI dynamique and I must say that one thing im not totally happy with is the sound system, the speakers in particular. They dont handle bass very well and one of the tweeters is crackling.

Is there an upgrade available that I can install straight into the doors etc that wont cause water ingress issues?

Wait untill you take them out and see what their constructed from... You will see the reason that their poor to say the least.

Even when i changed to pioneers back and front, base was still non existant, although better.

There is no substatute for a sub no matter what music you listen to.

I just happen to like dutch jumpstye so bought two subs!!

Agreed. A subwoofer is definitely required if you like your music. :rock

stick in some jbl tweeters in the front, add a set of 5x8 to the rear self perfect for mid and high range

definitely agree with Anthony if you like your music, bassss. car is sealed well so no loss of bass or rattling panels :D

Music never sounds the same when it comes from behind. Thus the reason to upgrade both front tweeters and doors..

The whole lot really needs to be pulled... renault skimped big time to say the least on audio.
