The Mégane II Owners' Club

Hi - Just bought a Megane II 2003 plate - The CD changer isnt working, think something is stuck - it wont accept new cd and states ERR CD 1 on the display, and I need to get it out - Any special tools for removal required ? Hints and tips appreciated

There is a thread somewhere about this. If I recall, remove the unit and disconnect the power. Wait 10 minutes, and all is fixed. You'll have to do a search on this forum.

I think you need a DIN tool to remove it.

yeah thanks - I found this viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11956 which basically details powering the unit off to reset firmware - did see another guy had intermittent problems. Will try tomorrow - Thanks for tip

PS your statement is worrying about a megane making me bankrupt - I bought this to save my SLK from the mileage the g/f is putting through it..
