How can front speaker vibration be cured?

Postby perrythebaxter » Wed Nov 18, 2009 11:19 pm

Apologies if this is already on the forum.
I don't want to replace the front door speakers, so sound quality aside, are there any simple tried and tested ways of reducing the vibration noises from the front speaker covers, door cards and handles with low frequency bass?

How about sticking that dynamat stuff in the door skins, where the handle screws on & a ring around where the speaker screws in.

The best cure for vibrations in the foam that comes on a roll....

You can by 2cm width buy 10m for a few quid...

You stick it all around where the door card meets door... or speaker meets door card...

It is soft enough to allow you to put all back in place and absorbent enough to deal with most vibrations....

The pioneers come with a strip of it each that you stick to them round the circumference then install... No vibrations at all.

Like this for example,

Double side adhesive type is not advised. You just want the single sided stuff.

yes:

Dont turn your system up so loud! Simple, Problem solved!! :hm

i dont think you can get noticable vibration in your door cards from the standard speaker! what you would get is noticable distortion from the speaker!!
