Removing your door cards is a compleat pain in the ~#@ss
The ones on my Megane were not performing so i removed the door cards to find that the speaker was part of the door card and were only 4inc speakers. Noemaly the speaker sits in a resess within the door. Thats Y i went the custom door pod way and put 2 6.5 MTX components eather side with the custom door pods.
If your going to remove any of the speakers you would be better getting a good set, MTX/Kicker and running them of an amp, the sound will be tons better

Re: door card removal - changing speakers
At the front you don't have to remove the whole door card, just the speaker grille part which looks very easy (they just pull off). The speaker is quite shallow so only certain speakers will fit without modification. Most people recommend the Pioneer TS-Q131C made especially to fit. The mid-range driver and the dash top tweeter are a straight swap using existing mounting holes and connectors.

At the rear things are more complicated. There is a 'how to' somewhere on here if you search. Some people have found changing the fronts and maybe adding a sub-woofer gives them the inprovement they require.
