how to fit a renault in dash cd changer under standard HU

Hi can anyone help??

i have a 2006 06 megane and have just bought of ebay a 6 disc cd changer from a 2002 model (looks like the later model).

how do they both connect? i have no wires with the cd changer, dont know whats in the dash yet

do i need to buy any cables/connectors etc?

im out on a limb here.

is the 2002 model no. MH9RN020 compatible with the standard radio cd in my renault? (2002 into 2006)

Hi!

You need to buy an interconnect cable between your HU and CD changer.
I got it from my local dealer for 35€. This is all you need for your changer to work properly. The illumination is not "transfered" through this cable, so you will have to hotwire something by yourself.

also the illumination is different. 2002-2005 models have amber lighting. 2005> have the white lighting

Did you manage to get the changer fitted and working ok? I'm about ot do the same. I've bought a second hand changer, obtained a code. Just need the cabling now, I think! Anything I should look out for???

Hi!

The fitting is really easy. Straightforward.
The only "problem" I had, was when I fitted the changer, connected everything, and changer didn't work. The problem was, the connection cable has some kind of a lever on the changer side (so everything stays in place). I pressed the lever and changer started scanning for CDs and asked for the code.
