iphone 4 and tunepoint

Hi,

I've got an 08 plate megane tech run with the tunepoint system installed.

Does anyone know if it's compatible with the iphone 4. I can get it to kind of work but not fully. Basically, if i start a playlist playing on the iphone before i plug it into the tunepoint, the music plays fine through the stereo. The problem is, when the phone is plugged into the tunepoint, i get a pop up on the phone screen saying its not compatible, and if I try to access the ipod function i jest get a screen saying accessory attached. This means i can't change playlists etc without unplugging the phone first.

Any ideas?

I think renault have done a software upgrade for the tunepoint have a look on the renault site

I did have a look on the renault site and there is an update. however, the instructions tell you to go to the tunepoint menu on the stereo - i think they are referring to the stereon in the new renaults, as mine doesn't have a tunepoint menu. The tunepoint is just accessed through the 6 cd changer source.

Jailbreak your iPhone (which is legal) and download 'noaccessorysplash' from cydia. That way you'll get your controls back!
I've just bought an 08 megane r26 f1 after selling my 06 impreza STI Spec D PPP and it worked a treat.
It's dead easy to do.
What do I need to connect my iPhone 4 to the car stereo? I'm not bothered about using the stereo controls or steering wheel controls. I like to use the phone itself!
Does the standard head unit have an aux input on it? Picking the car up on Monday.
Also what cradle do you use? I bought a Brodit for my impreza.
