Cabasse help ?!!

Postby Aeronaut » Fri Sep 10, 2010 8:58 am

Hey all,

Looking for some answers, i've ploughed through the hundreds of ICE posts and found some useful info (thanks all !) but now I'm lost :conf :-(

I've just bought the Pioneer TS-Q131C component speaker upgrade (Online-CarAudio IEM Electronics LTD).
Haven't fitted them yet, hopefully this weekend. I will remeber to tape up some of the holes for better bass response.

Now, I'm considering a standard (non MP3 cd playback) Cabasse update list HU (want to try to keep things as simple as possible - unadventurous, lazy me :nut )

Will this unit be a straight replacement for my lame 4x15w unit and will it also be compatible with the indash cd changer?
Because it has a higher output have the dimensions changed?

It has been advertised as Clio/ Scenic/ Megane, I will have to double check details with the vendor.

I'd appreciate any guidance, thank you

Marc

Just found out the Cabasse unit I was looking at was actually from a Laguna, d'oh !!

Just be careful because what you think is the headunit usually isn't. The actual radio and amp are usually tucked away in the boot, this was certainly true of the Espace/Laguna, and havn't worked out if this is the case with the Megane. The CD changer didn't look to change between models though so should be good to go mate. Plus you CAN connect an ipod using the AUX on these.
