Advice for New ICE

Hi,

I have a DCi 120 Renault registered 05 but made in 04.

It has a Tunerlist stereo in it.

I would like to change the stereo for something that will work with the display and controls on Steering Wheel with a Line In for my MP3 player.

Can anyone give me any suggestions as to which stereo I need to buy?

If you want full display including RDS and track info then you're only real choice is a Sony Headunit with a Connects2 DRNS003 adaptor. The Sony HU needs a CD changer port and a remote commander connector

If you don't mind a limited display then you can get an InCarTec adaptor suitable for virtually every major make of headunit.

I bought a KDC-W4037 and the Connects 2 Adapter for the renault along with the connector to Kenwood stereos, cost for the adapter was 28 and stereo was 62.
This would give you your line in and also your Steering controls but the display will only display "Renault" instead of anything useful.

If the display is shown up top wont that just duplicate what is on the Head unit?

just reading this post and looked to find the kenwood mp3 player and i found it has been replaced with the Kenwood KDC-W4044UG. now will this still work with the connect 2 adapter for the steeringwheel controls?

and also what about the 6 cd changer can i still possibly have this working?
