replacing the audio system in the Megane II Sedan

Postby nightheart » Tue Jun 09, 2009 7:54 pm

Hi everyone,
It is my first time to post something on the forum.
I do have a question here, is there a way to replace the audio system of the megane II sedan, without lossing the steering wheel control, and without any adjustement for the wiring of the audio system. which type of car audio could be mounted instead of the original car audio, as well no wearing in dash happens either inside or outside.

Thank you in advance.

Forgive me but I would suggest you post your questions on the main areas (ie Ownership Problems or, in this case, ICE). More members, even Sedan owners, look here and most topics concerning the Sedan equally apply to the Hatch.

You'll find your question has probably already been asked in ICE. The vast majority of members own the hatch or the convertible and probably won't ever see your questions if you confine them to Sedan. Just count how many posts there have been there since the Forum started.

Welcome lad,

As an owner of the saloon I have done the following.

Replaced the head unit with a 7" pioneer screen, Replace all speakers with Pioneer, see my signature for model numbers.

Fitted a set of pioneer 2000W 6X9 in the shelf (takes a bit of work with the storage box)

Next is two 3000W pioneer subs with a 10000W pioneer amp. (Model number if required)

After that is to go round the car with a torx and tighten all lose bolts!!!

As for the controls they can be used with most HU's but a wiring harness is required.

In terms of audio I would recommend nothing but pioneer.

Also it is well worth spending the time to replace the standard speaker cable as its as thick as the human hair.
