Megane Install

Postby Mattj » Mon Apr 21, 2008 7:14 pm

Hi
Could have sworn I posted this up on the forum before but cannot find it - so here it is.
Basically used to have a pug 106 GTi and was really done up (yes typical boy racer!!) situation changed and since my partner has a kid I thought time to grow up and get a sensible car. Still wanting the sounds etc but obviously needing the boot for buggie etc

Anyway thought of and planned a hidden floor design and here are the pic's - not a good idea as got stopped in Dunkerque by customs and had to remove the top floor as they just saw loadsa wires and thought it was something dodgy !!

How it started

Components put on to get sizing etc

Starting to put in car

Hidden floor idea

Wiring it all in

The relays etc

FINALLY FINISHED !!

Good news for you Matt. It goes away. I did the same thing. Ditched the bike and went to cars when we were due our first. It has only recently dawned on me that I don't need buggies anymore (youngest is six) and I don't really need to be all that sensi...sensab.....dull.

I'm looking at Alfa GTV's at the moment.
:D

its in the drivers footwell storage thing - nice little place and sits perfectly - got the slimline one and a 12v adapter thing from ebay so dont need to use an invertor to power it as runs off of 12 volts :)

and had to compliment it with wireless controllers - makes life so much easier
