Alpine IVA-D310 HU, Adapters.. Facia.. etc..

Postby neil_lindo » Thu Nov 01, 2007 2:14 am

Hey people what up..

Ok here is my dilemma; I am looking to put an Alpine IVA-D310 in my 05 Megane 2. I’ve been reading forums and up on various websites trying to figure out what adapters I actually need. I wouldn’t mind my steering wheel controls to work along with the display. Then there are also the adapters to hook it up to the existing wiring.
What do I need to make this work?

Second dilemma.. I also need a facia to go along with the adapters.
Third dilemma .. Does anyone know any company that will ship all of these items to me? I have a New York address in the US and I also have my address in Bermuda. They can take their pick at which one to ship to but they also have to be able to accept my Bermuda credit card, if that fails then I can wire money to them. So far it seems as though people just won’t ship to me internationally.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank Neil

you'll need your D310 and you'll also need a vehicle display interface. As you have an 05 model, i'm guessing your car runs on Canbus. not sure what advancments Alpine have made with Canbus adapters.

You'll prolly also need a facia. I have one with my Pioneer X1.

3rd... why buy it online? Can't you goto a local shop to buy all the gear? There must be some decent shops in Bermuda or even the states or other nearby countries that'll accept your card. Otherwise you could try phoning them.

I wish i could just go to a local shop and buy everything but mine is the only one on the road that has anything other than some rims done to it. No one bring in parts for these meganes. I've had to bring in everything for my car so far. The US dont have renaults so that why i need to find somewhere in the UK or europe to hook me up.

Fair point but they should be able to supply the Alpine D310 unit as that's generic for any car. It's also the most expensive which is a major issue when stores ship internationally or to an address other than the billing one.

If they're Alpine Authorised dealers, they should be able to get a hold of the adapter leads.

The fascia you'll need to import from Europe though.
