iPod and CD-Changer

Postby djkav » Thu Oct 25, 2007 7:44 pm

Hey all,

I have a 57 plate Meg CC privlege and it comes with the CD Changer.

I would like to connect my iPod to the head unit, but I know it plugs into the CD Changer plug.

Is there anyway I can connect them both up together with a special adaptor that allows you to "switch" between them?

Or will it always be the case of either one or the other?

thx

You could wire up an adaptor to allow for one or the other, but there's quite a few wires to switch over. And you'd probably have to switch with the radio off to avoid it getting confused.

An alternative is to use the AUX input for the iPod (although that would mean no control or charging), or one of the terrible FM transmitters.
