Bad radio reception

I can't get good reception on my 07 plate megane, when on medium wave.
All I get is a hissing sound, or low volume.
My Daughter has a 54 plate megane CC & her medium wave reception is great.
I've removed the roof aerial to check the earth, & it's ok. I've swapped the screw in extension with her car, but it doesn't improve things at all.
Where do I go from here?
I don't use MW very often, but it's good to listen to the sport channel for a change.

Thanks for the advise in a previous topic about removing the steering wheel airbag. It worked ok.

As you both have Meganes why not try your daughter's radio in your car (or vice versa). At least that will show if it's your radio that's funked or if it's in the wiring/grounding that you need to chase.

Make sure you have both radio codes before you do the swap!
