Postby Ray » Thu Dec 20, 2007 10:50 pm

what bulbs do I need?
what oil filter do I need?
What oil type is recommended for my engine and example of such...

etc... keep them coming in!

also, if you have something you'd like to author and add yourself, make a new topic and mark it for my attention in the subject line "for faq" or something obvious and i'll move it over!

Postby Bumpy macaroon » Fri Dec 21, 2007 9:59 pm

How to power radio wipers windows etc with out starting engine:
for models without keyless start,
card in slot press start without depressing brake or clutch
would think for keyless start you will just press start button without depressing brake/clutch

How to lock doors without keycard or card broken

Postby Bumpy macaroon » Fri Dec 21, 2007 10:03 pm

How to lock doors without keycard or card broken:
Stop engine,
ensure card is out of slot,
open door leave open,
press and hold in door lock/unlock button, you will hear click then after approx 5 seconds you will hear a louder clunk and dash display will go out,
get out of car and close door, all doors should be locked, courtesy lights will go out after a delay.
(remember to take card with you and if its not working will have to use emergency key to get back in)

HI Guys, I am new to this so I hope someone can help. I am running a 54 plate scenic and servicing costs the way they are I am going to do it myself, how do you reset the service schedule (get rid of the spanner) where is the diagnostic socket ? Also when opening the n/side front elec window it just dropped and I had to lift it and wedge it to keep it closed. Is this common and is it easy to fix, thought I would ask before I start to strip off the door panel. hope someone can help.

resetting the service indicator is (or was) in the faq. else it's in the forums if you use the search function

diagnostic socket is under the card reader.

Im sorry to ask such silly questions but I dont really know anything about cars, so id like a little a bit of help, even if they do seem obvious.

I currently have a Renault Megane DYNAMIQUE VVT 03 1.6. As I bought the car without a handbook :
I am just wondering what pressure should the tyres be?
How often do I put new oil in the car? What oil is best?
Is the little spanner flashing on my screen a problem?

Again I know these are silly questions but I would be very grateful for your help.

Thanks.
