Hi all, Just bought My first Renault and opted for the Megane 1.5DCI Authentique 2003 36k miles for £3600 which I thought was great as its in perfect condition and its the sought after £35 per year tax 70MPG you get the idea
1st Impressions are really good. Drives great compared to my old Astra Mk4 1.8 STI, very thirsty and expensive to run.
Loves the motorway and very comphy to drive. Just a couple of niggles if anyone has had the same maybe you could offer some valuble advice to a new starter
Basically when driving and it has done this on every journey I have made since yesterday, the Airbag warning light and the Service light comes on and at the same time it sound like the doors are locking/unlocking and it will do this intermittently throughout the journey which you could imagine is pretty annoying and could be a dangerous fault. Anyone know anything on this.
I am going to take it back as its under warrenty but if anyone can give any advice that would be great.
Also I am to look out for anything else, I've heard about excess warter somewhere, Do i have to be carefull washing the Car?
Great car though and I hope to be keeping this for a long time
Thanks a Lot

The air bag warning light may be due to a dodgy connection under the seat. I hope the garage you bought it off can sort the other probs because they are a great car to drive.

Hi and welcome along! Airbag & service light could mean rotary switch (aka clockspring) behind the steering wheel. But it could indicate other faults also. As for the water problem - do you mean it gets into the door pockets etc? or do you mean be careful when pressure washing if you have the handsfree option?
What ever on the above - loads of posts/info on either one, have a look around.
