Hey,
I'm Rick, and i've just bought myself a 53 plat 1.4 megane :) as you can probably tell by the name i'm a grease monkey so any questions you have i'll be happy to try and help :)

question why is marmalade called marmalade and not orange jam?

Welcome to the forum.

Bumpy - 'Marmalade' via the Spanish 'mermelada' is a dissimulation of the latin melimelon (mel - honey; melon - apple ie. a sweet apple or quince). Marmalade was originally a quince jam (before oranges were introduced to Spain).

Lucky you knew that Jonault, rick would of looked at the question whistled through his teeth, said thats going to be a difficult one to answer and it'll cost you lots :wink:
