So i have just got rid of my clio and replaced it with a 56 Reg Megane Dynamique 106 Dci. (5dr)
Mettalic black
Panoramic S/R
Air con
16" Alloys
All in all a lot of car for very little money

Ive got to say that since test driving the car and having owned it for just over a week now i am very surprised at how refined the engine is. I had the same engine in the clio (albeit a 65 bhp version) but that was very harsh and noisy. The meganes engine is very similar if not better than the Golf TDI i had a couple of years back.

Oh and then there is the fuel economy. :D

I just love the look of the megane aswell, living on an estate that is full of Ford focus and Astra's makes the choice so much more satisfying, there arent any other Meganes knocking about so she stands out from the crowd.

I hope i don't encounter any problems that are going to affect any of the above comments, but if i do im sure that there will be plenty of advice offered on here.

Great site guys, i look forward to sharing some megane advetures in the near future. :)

Welcome to the Club Carlos9

Agree with the refinement of the Megane vs Clio. The Wife had a dCi 80 which was very good but some what agricultural when cold. She's just got a new Clio III dCi 86, which puts the refinement of my Megane to shame. :(
Make improvements, not excuses!

Its a family car no plans to tune it, i wouldntt have thought the engine was worthy of tuning, Maybe im wrong. I have noticed the noise the turbo makes, its obviously a bigger lump thhan the one on the clio but it does make the car sound a lot less Dieselly, (is that a word?)

Oh and ive yet to try and fit me mountain bike rack. I foresee that huuge ass causing a bit of a problem. Might have to invest in a roof mount.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

What is the problem with the back? Parking - you can easily get used to it. Mine is also for whole family and my wife is the firs tunner.
You needsimply a proper 'climate' to do it.
