Hi all

Hi everyone, been trying to join for a few days now - finally made it.

My first Driving School car was a Clio, and I followed that with another. I then switched to a different make for about seven years, now I'm back to Renault, and it is certainly great to be back. Got a cracking deal on the dCi 130, so I just couldn't say no. Had the car for about 5 weeks or so now, clocked up over 4000 miles with my learners, and am finally over the new car paranoia that I usually get with a new car. "Don't touch THAT!"

Anyway, read most of the forum posts and there seems to be some pretty knowledgeable people here - looking forward to asking a few geeky questions - just because I like to know and pass the information on etc.

Anyone like to try the first? How much, in litres of course, does the screenwash bottle contain? No-one from Renault can tell me! Perhaps you guys (or girls) can?

Thanks for that. I thought it was about 5 litres, but I guess the only way to be sure is to let it empty then measure the amount taken to refill it.

We all know how much fuel and oil the car takes, etc - but on the Driving Test the candidate is asked a couple of maintenance questions which could include checking the screenwash. I know the dipstick lets you know that it isn't empty - but I think a little extra knowledge can't go amiss.

Hello :wave

I guess you could just tell them to say it varies by car but this one is about 5 Litres, I very much doubt that the examiner would know anyway especially if Renault don't.

Welcome Dax, my local garage do a screenwash re-fill for £1 and it says you get 5ltrs. I have used this on several occassions and either it is ripping me off or the washer bottle holds slightly more than 5ltrs.

I blame the garage
