New Sports Tourer DCI 106 owner

Postby Don » Wed Apr 25, 2007 8:54 am

Hi All,

This place looks like a great resource, the information and depth of knowledge is amazing. I have had my October 2006 Sports Tourer for two weeks and have been hugley impressed by it. Nice colour (Quartz), low milaege (4K) with 17 alloys and climate, 2.5 years remaining warranty and got a good deal from Motorpoint Newport (10K).

Being new to diesels I have been amazed by the economy and power, it pulls like a train and the OBC is showing 55mpg! Very comfortable, stylish and swallows all the family rubbish.

The door pocket is letting water on the passenger side but this is booked in to be fixed, common problem of faulty mirror housing seals apparantly.

Being new to diesels I am not sure, but is the slight whistling sound characteristic of turbo engines? Should I be concerned?

Overall, a great car, I hope it proves reliable!

Cheers,

Don

Welcome to the club Don :wave

Yes the turbo does make a slight whistling sound, so don't worry.

It's about time Renault fixed the water ingress problems in the door pockets. This has been happening since the Megane II was introduced

Great engine isn't it, mine has the slight whistle too (you can only hear it with the windows down around town) it's normal.

Super engine. Door seals now fixed so hopefully happy motoring ahead!

Thanks all for the welcome.
