Hellooooo

Postby Firkin_L » Mon Apr 16, 2007 9:40 am

Hi all, just clocking in as a newbie with a small intro..
Just bought a spanking 130dci from the dealer last week for the wife, collecting her later today :dance (hopefully).
She always liked the new Megane, as I have always been the one with the sweet cars and it was time for an upgrade for her, she choose to have a Megane....
The diesel is also a new experience too as I never was fuel burn conscious(my cars normally average 10/15mpg)... and her present car is terrible, she's always moaning about constantly refueling it (it's a Freelander), so thought about getting her a more fuel effective machine.
There was only one requirement... it must have some poke! :P
So with her love for the Megane, and the 130dci seeming to fit the bill nicely... we went for it....

Hope it all works out as I have driven & tested it and seems a really good car. The engine is far more quiet than most other diesel cars we tested, and it's quite punchy and capable.

Standard usual spec it is, but hoping to 'tart' it up a bit as soon as..

I'll report further when we get her and have more miles covered.... in the mean while I'll be picking your brains for any info and tips...
:tu

Hello and welcome Dom, lots of good folk with useful info on here so should you have any problems ask away.

The diesels appear to be less troublesome than the petrols and seeing that you're getting a brand spanker I feel sure that Renault will have sorted out some of the earlier problems.

You'll have 3 years warranty cover in any case which does provide piece of mind :tu
