New guy n gal

Postby Scotia » Wed Jun 22, 2016 4:25 pm

Well hello there, me and the missus have recently become the proud owners of a 59 plate black four door Meg II dinamique and very nice it is too. Its due an mot and has a few small issues i would like you ask about before i get spanner happy and mess it up. I noticed the other day one of the headlight bulbs is out and just yesterday it was pointed out to us that a brake light ( same side) was also, so could this be related? Like a fuse or something? I just thought i should check before pulling the clusters off, also when we open the tailgate water drips through it into the boot. Any ideas? Is this a common fault? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Ta muchly

How do Scotia, have a look here for wiring diagram etc to see if fuses are linked.

Common problem with the water dripping in to the boot when you open the tailgate, best solution I found was to open the tailgate a small amount at which point the water runs off, over the edge and stays outside the car, which is a bonus. Trial and error to get the amount of opening right to achieve water run off but once you've found it you'll not forget ;)
