hi all - megane will not start!!!

hi all - megane will not start!!!

Hi - I just bought an '05 Megane Expression 1.5 and it was running fine for a day or so but this morning when I tried to start it I got a clicking noise coming from low down on the drivers side and the red light below the speedo flickering fast. Anyone got any ideas?
