Hi All I am Dave from Grimsby 45yrs. I am a mechanical Engineer (plant and systems rotating equipment).
I have sold my Mercedes C180 2001 as it was getting too long in the tooth and the sunroof died..... Jumped out of the rails and a mini gearbox that controls it stripped a gear.
We purchased a Megane cc 1.6 vvt (2006) about a month ago here is the work i have done so far and intend to do
Fitted a double din Sony Head unit with FLI 180w speakers in the rear and Edge 420w and tweeters in the front.
Bought a new window module that went up instead of down and visa versa. So I sent the old one away to a nice chap at

tried a redex oil mixture and a redeem petrol additive which seems to have done something good (could be the placebo affect)
Full MOT, New Tyre only
attempted to repair the parking sensors with no joy and too little time
The rear window switch housings are glued inside the panels and look a mess
The main problem that is really bugging me is opening the roof. the black screen/shelf that I have to get out of the car and push flat into the horizontal position by means of getting out of the car and holding down whilst holding in the switch inside the car. I am hoping there is an easy fix for this?????????????
