Hello all

Postby Gumby6371 » Sun Apr 05, 2015 9:41 pm

Just a quick introduction to you all.
After many years of Pug 406 ownership I've just picked up a 1.5 dci 86 3 door. From what I can gather its at the end of the Megane 2 era being an 08 plate, 54,000 miles, FSH, 2 lady owners, very tidy car.

It's a little bit slow compared to what I'm used to (modified 2.2HDI 406 putting out around 160 BHP) but I'm at the stage where it was getting a bit pricey to maintain and the running costs on a little Megane looked VERY attractive!!

Having been a pretty active member on the 406OC for the last 4 years or so I hope to find this forum just as helpful and friendly.

Any tips regarding my new purchase will be more than welcome and I'm always up for some friendly banter.

Cheers

Gareth

Have a look through the problems section but main things are check to make sure that the fuse box / ecu wheel arch cover is there and in place and if not get one there. Then it's just general electrics, water ingress etc all of which you'll find plenty of documentation for in the problems section ;)

So water and electrics, sounds just like Pug ownership to me. I feel at home already :-)
