The Mégane II Owners' Club

Well, I suppose I had to do it eventually, after much refusal, it's finally time to register here. I am the sometimes proud owner of an 04 Megane 1.5 dCi 80 Extreme. I bought it unrecorded damaged just before christmas and have re-fronted it, I admit, I need to fit the new bonnet still, but it runs and has now done almost 2000 miles in my ownership. It stands me at just under £1500, so I don't think I've done too badly, but, as usual, there are problems, as follows:-
Card reader intermittantly plays up
CD player won't read CD's
Drivers side full beam won't work (Not the bulb) and when you flash the main, the dips come on after, you have to switch them on, then off again to get back to how you were
A/C doesn't work, wasn't a problem till it hit 20 degrees here yesterday!!!
Airbag light still on

I think that covers it, if anyone has any suggestions to fix any of those (card reader aside, I already have this ordered), I'd be very grateful, trying to run it on a bit of a shoestring as a cheap car alongside my Landie, I'm a D&T student in college, but I do loads with cars to make a living, which is why I bought the Meg. I'll get some pics up soon, I didn't join cos I wasn't gonna keep the car, but despite the fight it has given me, I've grown quite attached to it

Maybe a 1.9 next though... (5 gears is not enough )

Despite the damage though, that is still the original front number plate And that overspray on the bumper wasn't me, was on it when I got it Just hit 96k, I'll do the cambelt next week too, as theres no record of it having been changed.
Things I've already done:-
Repaired and re-shelled both cards (One started it and one opened/locked it, both really manky!)
Cleaned EGR
Refurbed alloys
New brakes all round
New drivers seat (Old one manky)

There's an electrical plug under the drivers seat which could be the cause of your air bag light being on, check it's properly together.
Are your CDs official ones? Mine would play official CDs and CD-Rs but wouldn't play CD-RWs.

Hi, and thanks for your reply, I'll check the plug re. Airbag light in the daylight. Unfortunatly, the CD player won't play anything. It made a ticking noise like a machiene gun when I got it, so I removed the player and manually ejected the jammed CD (hoping to solve the problem) the CD came out, and when I put another one in it spat it out. Sometimes it takes the CD's and spins them, but it never wants to play them.
Ah well, I'm sure I'll sort something
