New Meg owner

Hi All,

Been around here for a few weeks reading. Thought it was about time i introduced myself.

Recently taken ownership of a 57 plate 2.0DCI GT 150 in Mineral Blue. Wow what a car!

It is currently standard spec. I have however just had delivered an ITG panel filter and am looking into the possibilty of have a remap by K-Tec Racing who think they will be able to squeeze out another 20-30BHP and at least another 50lb/ft of torque safely. Upgrade will mainly depend on how much of an extra insurance premium it will set me back. (Any comment or advice on this would be welcomed)

Live in Brighton on the south coast (Damn that salty air)

Previously owner a Nissan Qashqai 1.5DCI and prior to that a MkII Clio 1.2.

:grin

Hi aab
I have had my 07 plate GT dci 150 (silver) just over a couple of weeks.
It must be my age (born in the late 50's) but i don't think it needs any engine mods, the standard performance is sufficient for me, but each to their own.
Had my first long run with it last weekend to Kent from Somerset.
Very comfortable, and it returned >50mpg with a mixture of A303 and motorway.
Unfortunately some bugger hit it in the local Tesco car park within the first week. Judging by the black stuff he/she left behind high on the rear nearside wheel arch it was a 4X4. Don't you love 4X4 owners !!!!!!!!!!!!
My body work guy will fix for £120.
Hope we both have trouble free ownership of our GT's.

Sorry to hear about the damage. I hate car parks now. Some t*@t always ends up hitting you in their tatty old car. I tend to park at the far end of car parks now to try and avoid this.

I agree about the performance, it is great. I am unfortunately the guy who always wants that little bit more.

The missus keeps laughing at me for cleaning the car. Bribed her to help me wax it! I will take a few pics soon and put them up. Might give it another quick wash down before hand. :life
