WOOHOOO!! got my megane! loooooooove it more than my mother!
Hi all. We recently bought a 03 megane, secound hand, but only 3000 miles on the clock! basically as new! Privilege in trim, ottoman in colour. 1.6 16v vvt, (mouthful) and an auto!
I did want a manual, and my dad agreed to that, so long as we got a 5 door, but then we saw the auto was a triptronic box, so we went for it there and then! the dealer was surprised!
The car is technically a family car, mum and dad still use it when they need to, otherwise its my baby!
umm, just a quik intro there, will post pics soon.
Very informative site, hats off to all!
c ya soon
Hey hey ray.
Im down near london, i got the link for this site from the coupe club's website. Used to have an old shape 5 door, used to check out their site.
Maybe you can clear a little confusion up for me here, The RS bumbers are the ones found on the 225 right? I cant seem to find a pic of the 225's rear end to compare, to this set i have seen on ebay, for a front and rear bumber, the front is the same as the 225, im not sure about the rear. I m going to buy it as soon as i have the money, total comes to under 300. Is that a good price? most bosy kits for cars run up way over that! I have seen a vibo, or vibro, or something like that kit on ebay, for 700 smackers, and it looks like a cheap rip off of the 225 front bumber, and what i am assuming is the rear. tut tut!
crazy world we live in eh.

Hello Rushi and welcome to the forum.
Maybe the engine is a bit underpowered but then it's quite a heavy car with a 1600cc petrol engine which, in our cases, is linked to an auto box so it's only be expected. Changing gear at around 4000 revs is usually a good way to make smooth speedy process without damaging fuel economy too much

Don't you mean hi Rushi? TBH I'm not sure he's on Nervasports

Hey hey.
Thanks for the more than warm welcome guys!
And eh, im running the standard 16 inch alloys, the ones with 5 set of three thin curvy spokes! dunno their name!
I spent nearly 3 hours cleaning the car yesterday, jet wash wax, windows in and out, back-to-black on the trim and all, and then realised i didnt have a digi camera in the house!!
A friend of mine is coming round today, (well actually, 50 odd people are coming for a bbq! Help!) and he should bring his, so pics soon!
Not many of my friends and fam have seen the car, so good chance to beam with pride i guess!
Oh, and i dont think this should be in this forum, but I am thinking of propositioning the ebayer ( ive already been talking to him, for my own set) for a bulk buy, (and there for saving, hopefully!) of the rs bumbers!
Let me know what you think!
And thanks again.
Oh, and sorry for the long ass post, i just love all things megane!
