Just bought a Megane MkII CC "for fun"

I've just bought a 2007 CC on impulse, as I liked the Renault 19 and I fancied a convertible for once in my life. I've had Volvo Estates for 30 years, starting with a 245.

Unfortunately the previous owner appears to have have had a cleanliness problem. It's had to be well scrubbed inside to remove the smell. Almost complete.

It's got a few dings and scrapes on the outside, which I'm happy about because I won't mind it getting a few more in car parts. Inside I want the inside to be as nice as possible, as that's what I see. Unfortunately the interior paintwork hasn't lasted; I guess the answer is to take everything off and re-spray it.
