Hi, I bought a pristine Renault Megane 1.6 VVT Dynamique Proactive 5dr 2008 with 32,000 miles on the clock.
It's had a full dealer service including new cam belt.
Looks good
Drives Good
Buuuut . . .
Fuel Economy (petrol) diabiolical (lucky if I get 30 mpg pootling about on my own.
The auto transmission seems very 'whirry' to my ear and has a habit of staying in second a lot.
I've spoken to the dealer about it who insists all this is normal.
Tonight it started making faint gear crunch sounds going uphill in 3rd (with it flipped over to hybrid manual.
Anyone got any ideas?
It has about two weeks left on the warranty . . .

Re: Hello
Welcome along
Sorry to ear about your woes, subject to the terms of your warranty, if it were me I'd be taking it back and telling them that you'd have it back when it was all in full working order, getting a courtesy car (at their expense) and leaving it with them.
