The Big Airgap between the front wheel arch and wheel had me yanking the hood release sharpish thinking some had nicked the engine overnight !!!
but no the bitch was there?Thought it must be them sh##ty 17's with "No Name CRASHWELL SKIDGOODS" in there finest 40 profile,
Put 30 psi in these Puppies and then couple them with the cheapest Coilovers (New £300) I could find on the "Snow Plough Setting (see pic 3)
the car is transformed from a wallowing wilderbeast that sat wayyyyyyeeee to high at the front is now a finely tuned bit of kit,
Now I'm not a Negative person so we wont draw heavily on the above setups "Ride\Comfort Drawbacks",well to be honest there's only one drawback as "Comfort" isnt in the equation any more as there isnt any ?? So I have to admit "Slammed" isnt for everyone but its for me I love it other than the cracked screen due to a pot hole,been using it like that for 4 months now and since coupled it to a "Blue Chip Tuning Box"its my fav ride at the moment(£80 off ebay)thought it would be a bad purchase as Ive got 2 other "Smoke Boxes" one for a 4M41 Shogun 3.2 did and another for the 3.0td HiluxSurf costing 4 times the Blue Chip and cant get them set up right,
How wrong I was my 130 hp dci gets an injection of torque to die for from rock bottom to that sweet spot 3500 rpm,pointlesss revving any higher as mine is the Strangled FAP CRAP,CAT<EGR.version,so until that project starts its short shift city,
Must just say with the excellent long legged 6 speed manual box Renault fitted in mine and the "Chipped 130 Cross Platform K9Q"my CC has become an awesome M\way mile eater suprissed loads of tail gating Audis once you hit a hill as the car loses no speed due to the relentless torque AWESOME
Anyway I'm here to help any one that needs info\fitting one of these plus if any one lives nearby (Junc 25 M25) i'm home most days and you can have try yourself,
Owned this for about 6 months,been a member since March 2014 but promised myself I would'nt post my existance until I could get the roof to open\close completely on its own without me having to help it halfway and TODAYS the day I finally got it to work as it should !!!
Only took me 6 months but worked it out by researching this forum and other Renault Forums.
If there is any interest I could do a "Build Thread" as I have done and learned a lot with my CC over the last 6 months including fitting Cheap Coil overs,Blue Chip Tuning Box (THE MOST FUN U WILL GET FOR £80 HANDS DOWN !!!!!)
