Re: Engine oil
FAP requires a special clean oil, ACEA C3. It doesn't matter much whether it is w40 or w30.

Re: Windscreen washers
It will be fiddly. The only way to diagnose the fault is to disconnect the pipe at one location or the other. It can be blocked nozzle, blocked/broken pipe, or the pump...

Re: Instrument panel issues
The cracking noise may be due to a suspension spring broken at the very end, a few inches - they do it occasionally. It can be alkso the subframe, if any job on it was done recently, unlikely otherwise. No idea about the instrument panel - sounds like the power or ground circuit. There were many rep...

Re: Rear Disc Replacement...
It might be safe, but pointless. At 175Nm the inner race will sit very tightly. The play is probably in the bearings.
I also once installed cheap discs. There was no play, but the bearings became noisy very quickly - had to replace the discs again.

Yes, it's the earth wire fault. This old thread may be of use as well.

Re: 1.9 dci egr blank
I tried it before - the OBD fault was triggered. It seems that the mechanical part limits the travel of the plunger, and the margins of travel are monitored electronically. I didn't go in depth though, just was playing not long before selling the car. Another option is to split the EGR valve - there...

Re: 1.9 dci egr blank
An option is to remove the valve, hang it on a wire near the engine, and blank the valve seat with something cylindrical. The engine will be fine, slightly better mileage, less carbon particulates causing cancer, more NOx causing irritation. I tried, but then returned to the original setup for MOT, ...

Re: 1.9dCi poor acceleration
The accelerator pedal position is above 100% -- something is wrong with ECU programming. Further, the rail pressure drops as the airflow increases. This might indicate a fuelling problem: an obstruction, degraded HP pump performance, increased return flow in an injector, etc.

Re: Broken EU problem and a Jerry can
Thanks Mike. I'll do further research on this. In the past, nobody checked the boot content when boarding, but in the view of the current situation they may. When France goes on strike, it can be serious. Once my wife became stuck there when the planes were grounded due to eruption, French rail went...

cc 2013 is the new shape, while yours is the older, mk2. If it is the case, then no chance.

Re: How to turn out that "god damn" check injection warning light!!!
P0235 is the boost sensor circuit, wires. Read the manual, I'll also have a look. Yep, grab MR366MEGANE1.pdf Engine and peripherals from the sticky thread above this one, search for 0235, find the appropriate DF code in the table, then read the two pages for this DF code. There are instructions on w...

Re: Megane struggle to start
Check the clear pipe to the high pressure pump for bubbles of air. It's possible that there is a pinhole sucking air in. Once started, the bubbles would only accumulate again by the next morning. Other options include a weak/defective battery/starter/wires, glow plugs, compression, rail pressure, ca...

Broken EU problem and a Jerry can
I'm planning a drive to France, ferry crossing to Amsterdam, as Calais is dangerous. Now, it turns out there are fuel shortages both in France and Belgium, as the workers at the refineries are unhappy with the EU having spent their pensions and having announced a plan to replace them with newcomers....

Re: Upgrade Rirmware of Radio bluetooth
Find the version of the existing firmware first. It's somewhere in the menu. My old firmware in RS250 Cup works just fine with CyanogenMod system on the phone.
