Re: new megane owner needs help
Whitts,
as a minimum let the dealer know you are having problems - then in future you could say you had told him of an intermitent fault at an early stage - just avoids him saying he was never told/out of the warranty period etc

At the moment the drivers side are not working - I suspect that they are suffering from damp - as when I open t...

Re: seat recliner
Steve - also have cc (my wifes)as well as a hatchback too. This problems occurs on the cc - I'm sure it is because we've had leather seats as an option. When moving the seats I'm sure release mechanism (wires?) get stuck usually this happens when moving the seat fwd/backwards - a good jolt usually f...

Re: windows
Phil - to be a little clearer - inherent fault on these cars is the window regulators - which will open and close windows on their own - search the formum on regulators and you'll see the fix and costs

Re: Am I being taken for a ride?
yes - warranty applies - the car has to be "of merchantable quality". A garage can't just sell something they know is defective and try to get away with it. Go back to the garage and ask them to fix it. If they don't write to them and give them a period in which to act. If they still don't...

Re: Fold in wing mirrors ( electric )
mez - have got them and occasioanlly they stick after 7 years.
Never looked indside - but I'm sure the mechanism just gets detached and one side can stick. Solution has always been to try a couple of time with the switch and then pull them out manually
