Re: Radio Code?
Thanks man. It didn't seem to work on mine though so eventually figured out it was the number 6 I should press but it was very tempremental and wouldn't register until I'd pressed it for the tenth or so time.

Radio Code?
I'm trying to re-enter my radio code. I've figured out how to get the numbers in but what the heck is the mode button? There is no mode button with that logo described in the manual on my Megane? All I need to know now is which button I press or hold after I've entered the right code to register it ...

How many Englishmen does it take to change a lightbulb?
<contortionist mode> I'm presently in the middle of changing my near side H7 bulb and the clip has popped out! :cry :eek :banghead I think this is going to end up taking longer than it did to change the coil packs! If it pi55es me off too much I may just end up using gaffer tape! Wish me luck!

Re: Ignition Coil Replacment Part
Thanks man! Do you know what size torx bit is used? It's not one of those funny shaped ones that car manufacturers like to use is it? I have ordered two new coils so they should hopefully arrive friday and I will be able to get it sorted fairly quickly. In the video clip it looks pretty straight for...

Ignition Coil Replacment Part
I have a misfire in cylinder one so I need to replace that ignition coil. Can anyone tell me for the UK right hand drive 1.6 Megane II, from left to right which one will be the coil for cylinder one? I know I should replace them in pairs so will do that. Need to be sure which one is the right one fi...

Re: Faulty Window Regulator funded by Renault UK
I have a megane 57plate and my drivers window has just stopped working, from reading and a little diggin, the window regulator seems to be the cause (suprise suprise). Are Renault still fixing these under warranty and what is the cut off for the warranty? Many thanks WrightStuff050 If you've got a ...

Changing the oil
what an absolute pain in the arsehole that is! Couldn't even get the underside cover off. Only managed to get two of the nuts out, the other three I got loose but they just kept turning and turning and turning but not coming out. F**k that! I'm gonna have to take it to a garage and ask them to do it...

Location of the throttle housing
I think I'm going mad so can anyone confirm for the 1.6 is the throttle housing on the right hand side of the engine or the left? I'm convinced it was on the left but when I looked under the hood it looks to be on the right.
I'm gonna be pulling it out this weekend to give it a clean.
Thanks,
John

Sump Nut and Washer kit
I can see the part for just the Sump Washer on Halfords website but does anyone know which one it is for the Sump Nut and Washer kit on their site? I can see that they have four different ones. https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchCmd?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=101...

Re: ok i admit it you were right
mmm interesting are they different prices then ??? will have to make sure i don't get stung !!! Dephasers are quite expensive to replace and have refitted. The dephaser is a common problem on the Megane. They "Renault" originally tested with a solid steel one as they are meant to be made ...

Re: renault spark plugs
I got the Denso Iridium ones and had them fitted for me a couple of years ago. I think you can use whatever you want. Renault would probably "prefer" you to buy their products though ;-) that's how they make their money by making cars that need constant attention and replacement parts. :ba...

What size winter tyres?
I have a 1.6 on 205/50/R17's. If I were to get some winter tyres put on next month, do you know what size and type is recommended by Renault or that you'd recommend?
Do you have to use the same size or can you go with say 195/60/R16's?
Cheers,
John

Re: megane stalls on start up
had my car at renault today they said it was tdc sensor and want 100 pound to fix is this a good price? If anyone else has the same problem don't assume it is TDC sensor or throttle housing as it could also be Camshaft sensor which is more likely. When my TDC sensor went the car died completely. It...
