Re: Aftermarket Headunit under Renault headunit.
The gap is large enough for a head unit. I did put my sony in for about a day. But there isnt a fascia adaptor that will tidy up the space around the side.
Also, you will have to split the ISO blocks to get sub and back's to work without the front. But you already knew that im guessing.

Re: bulbs
I think coloured side lights are a 3 point offence. According to a PCSO who stopped me with red ones in my Audi. I would put Silvatecs in the indicators, just to get rid of the amber reflection. Then I have got Phillips BlueVision headlights and sidelights, they got a legal blue tint to them and a b...

Re: the sound of flowing water
Look at the speaker panels in the fron doors. They come off by pulling from the door hinge side (gently) and then there is a tab that goes behind the cloth part. Lots of water gets in behind there, but generally fills the door pockets i think. Loads of people complained about it. Its part of Renault...

Re: Do side airbags protect the head?
The Megane has thorax side airbag and a head curtain to protect front and rear passengers, so i do think they protect the head in some way. This link has got some nice video's of what will happen to a Meggy, and passengers in a smash. http://www.euroncap.com/tests/renault_megane_2002/146.aspx Alex

Re: megane sport body kit
There are loads of fibreglass replica's floating around on Fleabay. But obviously they arent as good as OEM stuff. For a real one i think your best bet is a scrapyard, although they do pop up on ebay occasionally. As far as im aware, aslong as you get the correct phase for your car, i.e around the s...

Re: boot piston thingies
Not hijacking the thread, but if your going to replace them you could "bling" them up a bit. While working a well known DIY store i spotted clip on chrome pipe covers, thought I could make use of them somewhere. The result, chrome boot lifters. Sorry for the poor photo quality (was taken o...

Cheers Mate,
Yes, I was going to find an adaptor, but I had all the crimp stuff already, so just crimped on another spade connector the bit ive cut off. So saved myself a little bit of cash.

Rear Speaker Removal Tutorial - 3 Door
After finishing my exams in Uni I finally had a spare day to get round to fitting my Pioneer TS-E1396 's in the back of the meggy. While I was at it I figured best to take photo's and i couldn't find a guide photo guide on any forum. So here goes. Time needed: 2-3 Hours Tools needed: T20 and T45 Tor...
