Re: 11k and major problems

Some more info would be good. Engine type? Age of vehicle? Reason for the throttle body being diagnosed as being faulty? Defective Lower arm ball joints are not uncommon, however not on a vehicle with 11K on the clock.. Did they do the MOT and it failed? If so what are the reasons for reject...

Re: Electrical Problems...Going from Bad to Worse!! Help Please!

Sounds like water in the UCH.. The (UCH) fuse box is located on the passenger side of the engine bay.. There was a modified cover fitted to stop this happening.. Very common and one time on early vehicles.. Also expensive to buy a new one..

Re: Steering lock warning

The Steering lock is electronic and is coded to the immobilser.. Its not an uncommon failure, and not cheap to fix.. You could buy the stearing lock box and replace it yourself. BUT the old lock has to be smashed of the column as it fitted with a reverse threaded snap off bolt.. When I say smashed, ...

Re: Service Indicator on & code P0340

Replace the TDC sensor AND the Connector/loom for DTC P0340.. Note the new sensor and connector are light blue in colour.. Cost is around £70 for the parts from your dealer.. The De-phaser (VVT) solenoid is an on/off device.. If the solenoid is opening when 12v is applied then it is OK.. The ECU doe...

Re: How To: Check & Change Glow Plugs

Yes a Good post, but let me add another way of testing the plugs .. Remove the glow plug connectors. Set the meter to Ohms. Put one probe on any convenient point on the cylinder head and the other on the glow plug centre.. If the Impedance (resistance) is any more than 2.5ohms then the plug is on th...

Re: URGENT HELP REQUIRED!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like the sixth gear syncromesh keys maybe worn.. If it is still in warranty Renault will replace the box. If out of warranty you have three options. 1: Have the box rebuild by a transmission specialist/independant. 2: Fit a second hand box 3: Or take it to your dealer where they will tell you...

Re: bulbs

Under "construction and Use" you can display any colour of light on the front of your vehicle as long as it is NOT red...

So blue sidelights would be Legal.

However for the purposes of the MOT you must have to fit white sidelights..

Strange but true..
