What did it fail on?

Parking lights are normally just side lights. If you want your dipped headlights to come on, repeat the above procedure but turn the stalk two clicks. Auto lights shouldn't make a difference.

For most situations, it is plenty. As said above, there is a noticeable surge from just under 4000 rpm, so overtaking is not that dicey if you're sensible. However, I largely drive my car alone but when it is full of people, you certainly are more aware that it is a small-engined car.

Depends how short the journey is. Diesels take far longer to reach normal operating temperature.

I had this problem before - temperature guage dropping off and then returning to normal at random. Garage replaced coolant temperature sensor once and it seemed to solve the problem. However, almost a year later and the same thing started to happen again! Went into dealers twice but no faults showed...

You may have to clear the error code from the ECU. Try disconecting the battery for 30-40 mins, reconnect and see if the message still appears.

What makes you so suspicious?

My local tyre fitters have no problems whatsoever with the tyre sensors. They take a much more softly, softly approach to removing the tyr to ensure that they don't damage the sensors. However, they do have a disclaimer on prominent display that they will take no responsibility for any damage - i.e....

Yes. Switch off engine, open driver's door and twist left the hand stalk light switch one position/click.

There is no choke on modern cars! The ECU changes fueling and airmix constantly to suit the conditions.
