Update: I had the RAC out today and a very helpful guy who spent over an hour trying to diagnose the problem. He disconnected the black tube from the air filter and sprayed a flammable gas into the air intake. The engine started straight away and continued to run quite happily once he stopped sprayi...

When I hit the start button it starts for about 2-3 seconds with a very rough and lumpy tick over and then stalls (wont let me rev it), sometimes the injection failure message comes up and other times it doesn'

I checked all 4 with a volt meter. 1 was completley dead and the other only registered 3 volts. The other 2 were fine. I have replaced the faulty pair but the car is still refusing to start. Any ideas???

Would it be possible to swap the steering wheel with one that already has the CC buttons on it? I dont know what model Megane has these controls fitted but you must be able to pick one up from a scrappers?

I am having exactly the same problem with my 2003 1.5 Dci 42k - Only difference is that mine cuts out when i pull up to a junction. Very intermittent though.
