Re: Dashboard just stopped working!
I think it's a fairly common fault, a mate of mine had it fixed by Renault at a very reasonable cost, he may just have been lucky!

Re: Bench testing egr
Yes it wont be a problem, the egr will open and close as it should providing it is working and not gunged up but as you have turned it there is no way trough to the inlet manifold for the exhaust gasses and it wont flag a prob on the ecu.

Re: Intermittent starting
This is similar to what happened on my Daughters pug 207 diesel, it was an air leak, if you pumped up pressure with the little bulb then it would start right away if left overnight or a day or so you had no chance, I fitted a new filter, bulb and some pipe work, its not missed a beat in over 12 mont...

Re: Window jammed
Thanks Bobby, Some yrs ago I had a car with an electric sun roof it packed up but there was a hole in the motor for an allen key to manually close the roof, I assume Monsieur Renault is not that sensible.

Re: Injection Fault & STOP 1.5 DCI
Hi Steve, slightly off topic but have you read anything about adding 2stroke oil to diesel, about 150/200ml to a tank full its supposed to lubricate the pump and injectors, a mate of mine does a lot on VWs and swears by it.

Re: Injection Fault & STOP 1.5 DCI
Hi Steve, just read your thread about an 8mm comp NRV and crimping up the pipe work, in the plumbing world we use plastic or stainless liners in plastic pipe. I don't know if any will fit the ID of the fuel pipe but a trip to your local merchants may prove worth while, Good luck with your project Alan
