Re: Fuse Box Under The Bonnet

the grey plug would be for keyless entry and start.
the green wires you mention, is that the color from the plug or is that the color wire that has been added.
if you could give me pin numbers from the plug that have been tampered with i'l find out

Re: megane 2 not starting steering locked fault

you can get ones of ebay for about 150 quid but they must be blank as they are coded to the car and must have had the code removed if fitting to another car.
when fitting a blanked one it won't need coding as the car codes it itself as long as the uch and keycard are in working order

Re: exhaust question

yes you can just swop the rear back box but you must have the 225 rear bumper as otherwise the whole exhaust will sit below your standard bumper and you will also need a extra bracket and mount the bolts to the rear panel on the drivers side to support the rear pipe.

Re: dephaser circuit

maybe look into a ecu fault as the car can start using the crank sensor but this would put you into emerengy mode in which the ecu takes a few measurements from some sensors and then works out the rest inself instead of getting the info from the sensor. this is different to limp mode as you may not ...

Re: 1.9 130 turbo help!!

best advice is to change the oil every 9k instead of the 18k renault say is ok. this should increase the life of the turbo as these are the weak link with the engine, make sure on the passenger side of the car in the front wheel arch you have the cover in place that is there to gain access to the he...

Re: Engine Swap

before doing the above why don't you take the head off as often the bottem end is fine with maybe just a dent in the top of a piston which won't matter to much. alot cheaper and easier to replace a cyclinder head and at least you know what state the engine was in before the belt snapped as a second ...

Re: Engine Swap

it is quite simple. best bet is to remove the front panel for better access, it's really a case of removing battery, tray, ecu, airbox and then the wiring from the engine remember to label the plugs as even thou most only fit one sensor it makes it a lot quicker then trial and error. next dissconnect t...

Re: New Style Megane Boot Badge

hi i'm a panel beater and we often fit new badges to all makes of cars and no one else has or sells a M in the style that is on the back of the megane. you could remove the whole badge and replace it with a different style of lettering or just try a vehicle breakers and cut the M off. might not even...

Re: sticking panoramic roof

sounds like the runners are worn or broken on the back corners of the glass. if i remember correctly renault want about 80 quid for a pair.
you could try some spray grease to try to ease it along

Re: 02 megane boot problem

if you climb in the boot there is a little lever that you push sideways and it opens the boot. i would then remove tailgate trims and check for voltage at the catch.
these are common failures on the megane and will most likely just need replaced

Re: keycard replacement

iv'e heard of this but also heard there are problems with doing it this way. the man scans the code from your present keycard and scans it onto a second hand keycard that has had a new chip fitted. this means the car thinks that both keycards are the same one. the problem begins that even these keyc...

Re: Fuse Box Under The Bonnet

on the sensor/wiring you the 3 pins are
pin 1 supply 12v battery
pin 2 uch and wiper motor connection
pin 3 earth

checking pins 1 and 3 are straight forward
pin 2 ends up at the location below

uch
PE2 connector (Black) track 1
hope that can be of help

Re: intermitting starting problem

you could be right but when trying to elimnate possible causes for my own car not cranking several different tech's told me to ignore all engine sensors as they would only stop the car from starting and they have no use until engine starts cranking. the starting order for a megane 2 is foot on brake...
