Re: no power to roof
I'd not considered that micro switch, but wouldn't you then get the warning message about food operation and to check your manual? Having said that I don't think the food will operate with the windows up and I think you said there was a fault with the rear ones..... So this may be a place to conside...

Re: new member
The CC doesn't have a spare, just a puncture kit.... As far as I'm aware? But there are a couple of places that do exhausts and places that will make them while you wait ( by appointment ).

Re: no power to roof
I'm just wondering if there would be anything to gain from attaching an OBD2 scanner to your car? It might give you a clue about the electronic fault? Plus there should be another set of fuses in the engine compartment, but these will be for lights and other heavy duty loads....but of course that ma...

Re: new member
If you search the CC threads you will see I found a company offering front and rear bumpers as well as side skirts..... that would leave you to source wheels and maybe an exhaust.... just of the top of my head I think the company was called "unique"...

Re: no power to roof
This will not be an easy one to sort out, remotely. I think you are either going to have to take it to an Auto-electrician or if you are capable, find somewhere dry and warm and start checking connections with a multi meter. Window problems are not that uncommon and there are lots of "modules&q...

Re: CC shaking it's ass...with the roof down
I have used a company called ultimate racing, in the past. They did a huge range of cross braces and interior stuff for my Hyundai. It is possible that parts for the megane coupe will fit the CC.....? But it might be a bit of trial and error, but as long as you let them know what you have in mind th...

Re: CC shaking it's ass...with the roof down
Yes I have to confess, that my first spirited drive with the roof down was a bit of a shock!! But that's the penalty you have to pay, with the roof down you loose a lot of body strength, plus you have the weight of the glass slung way back over the rear. Plus to keep the weight of the car down a lot...

Re: Roof Seals
That doesn't sound as bad as my mate who has a Fiat Barchetta, he was quoted more than the car is worth......or very close to! They have some funny triple lip seals and are only available from Fiat. But it made me glad I had a more standard production model.

Re: Roof Seals
VW do a seal refurbishment kit for the Eos, ( similar folding roof car ) and I bought one from a VW dealer on eBay. Obviously we are now in the depths of winter and currently we have around eleven inches of snow, but all has been well so far! But I do find the air con system to be slightly below par...

Re: Performance upgrades
The quick obvious mods are exhaust, free flow air filter and/or cold air induction kit. The standard electronics will allow for these, but after that you are looking to have the "electronic brain " recalibrated. Cars are made so they work under all foreseeable conditions and with variable ...

Re: Timing Belt Advice
It is by a Renault main dealer and clearly says timing belt and water pump. But the year is impossible to read, maybe she has a seperate cash or credit card receipt, that had the year on. But being automatic I wouldn't worry to much about either the age interval or the milage. But of course don't te...

Re: tyres for cabrio
My CC had a full set of Marangoni Verso tyres fitted to it when I got it from the dealer. They cost about £70 and considering they are an Italian company, the tyres are terrible. Wheel-spin and drifting out on even gentle cornering (worse in the damp). So I checked some of the reviews and wasn't sur...
