Re: Battery Cover
My CC has the battery mounted right at the front of the engine compartment, just behind the right hand headlamp as you stand looking into the engine bay. So I guess you need to confirm which model you have for people to answer correctly?

Re: demossing windows
My wife used to park under trees at work and this was a recurring issue for us. Hot soapy water and a low power jet wash got rid of the worst and I found some specific caravan "green slime"cleaner, that worked really well and seemed to offer a protective film making further cleaning much e...

Re: Tender - > Megane CC meet 2015
It is now just 2 weeks until our Brighton meet, is it prudent to ask for an update?
Numbers, accommodation, initial meeting location etc.

Re: Some info on brakes please.
I had my rear brakes done recently, at the last MOT under advisory it was noted the disc's were corroded. Anyway the brakes were pretty poor last trip out, so took to my local garage who replaced rear disc's and pads, but I noticed this had included wheel bearings, I did ask and it seems they are pa...

Re: Tender - > Megane CC meet 2015
It would be better if we were all together, save driving and getting lost on a night out? From experience if you can arrange a party of 10, most big or bigger hotels will offer a form of discount, however there is the risk of non attendee's and no shows.... not good if you put down deposits.... and ...

Re: What power steering fluid do i need
My first thought would be why you need to top up at all? But depending on the age and mileage, I would be tempted to replace the fluid altogether. Most of our cars are 10 years old at least and to be honest things have moved on, in terms of synthetic oils and additives. So even the handbook recommen...

I emntioned this problem to the garage when I was in having rear brake discs/bearings and pads, they replaced the pollen filter and that has made a noticeable difference....but will keep and eye on the things you highlighted..

Yes the engine temperature shows the engine is warming up ok, its just very little seems to drift into the cabin. But I take your point about the thermostat and will have it changed at the next service around Easter time.

But surely that concept of performance is subjective? Well on the road anyway and the art is finding the right tyre that suits both your car and your driving style!

I think the thing we can all take from this thread, is that tyres are a subjective matter.
