Re: Renault Megane 1.5 DCI MK2 - auxiliary belt snapped.
Hi, a bit confusing as you say car ran ok after belt was gone. Hope you didn't run it too long. Could just be that the battery is down now, so suggest you replace belt and charge the battery to see how it goes. After that, if not right then get fault codes read to see how you go from there. Good luc...

Re: 'Check Injection' under acceleration
Hi, and welcome to the forum. No good guessing I'm afraid, you need to read any fault code stored to put you in the right direction. Should there be no fault code stored then it's a fuel related problem, air in system, blocked fuel filter etc. Many people have spent a fortune doing the guessing game...

Re: Potential Alternator Issue?
Hi, sounds like you need to check the wiring, especially the earth wires at the bulbs. When l checked mine l found the earth wires were burning out between the side light and headlight, so l soldered new wires on. It's not a 5 minute job as you need to take the front bumper off the car for good acce...

Re: Cause of Misfire?
Hi,
well done on finding it.
Have to say though that any bad earth to engine would first affect the starter motor.
Also the electrical difference in the injector circuit should have shown up as a fault code.
Good luck
Bob.

Just check the engine but it might check all systems anyway.

Re: Losing power - HELP! - Megane II CC - F4R
Hi, anything wrong with the coils and leads would have shown a fault code, anything electrical or sensor related will show a code so the coils should be good. I suggest you look at the colour of the plugs as you may find one or even two different. New plugs can only improve it but won't explain the ...

Re: Losing power - HELP! - Megane II CC - F4R
Hi, it's possible that the head gasket can allow compression, however small, into a cylinder without mixing oil and water. That would explain the water, the power loss, bad start and no fault code. Take out the plugs and see if they are all the same colour, it might give something away. As for the w...

Re: Losing power - HELP! - Megane II CC - F4R
Hi, it sounds like the head gasket is leaking and pressurising the water system. Look for tell tale signs of water in oil and oil or sludge in the water. You don't mention over heating so presume the water pump is working but any extra pressure will prevent the water from circulating properly. If yo...

Hi,
usually it's a soft engine mounting, probably the lower one, or it's possible it's the clutch itself.

Re: hi, cant find fusebox (dummy)
Hi,
F7B (engine fuse box) does the central locking, which operates the tail gate.
If it's just the tail gate not working look to the lock there.
Check out on you tube.

Re: Coolant fan running whilst engine is on
Hi, it sounds like the relay is stuck on. I believe it's right at the bottom under the engine fuses and has a number something like 234 on it, but you could maybe pull each relay one at a time to see if the fan stops. You would need jump leads as the battery and tray have to come out and while there...

Re: Airbag faults
Hi, l have looked up posts on these codes before. l found that it's not always the squib. These codes can relate to the connector block under your seat. Check that first, if possible check the continuity on each wire either side of the connector to make sure they are connected. Good luck Bob.

Re: megane 11 1.5dci injection fault
Hi, if nobody on here has the diagnostics near you, best google all garages in your area and phone them to find one. Most people have diagnostic readers but won't be able to code the injectors. I used to have delphi diagnostics which can do it and it doesn't take long if you've got the codes to hand...

Re: 2005 Renault Megane Estate - Door locks
Hi,
haven't had this myself, but I think you need to look at the driver door lock inside the door card for a poor connection/damp.
See how to remove door card on you tube.
At least give it all a dose of WD40.
I believe the driver door works the others in turn.

Re: Removint the air vents.
Hi, according to the Haynes manual, you need to remove the heater control panel surround also. It says disconnect battery, remove radio, unclip and pull out storage tray below radio, prise out the panel at the front of centre console, remove 4 surround panel mounting screws (2 at the base of panel, ...
