Wow a Safrane!? Nice, very rare, I want one soon. Although I take it it's a 2.5 and not a 3.5!?
I've got a Renault 25 and a Vel Satis, I need a Safrane to complete the generation flow

Re: ineed help check injection
Not sure what it involves... my mechanic found and sorted the fault. This was after trying a new throttle body etc, so I left it to the expert!

Re: Engine Running fault
Hey, sounds a nightmare. My Mégane had odd issues like that, they weren't exactly the same. The car would run fine when started up, then once up to temperature it would cut out. It was then quite difficult to start, then once started again would say CHECK INJECTION and idled around 1300 rpm. The fau...

Re: SMELLY Megane
Have you tried an Air Con cleaner?? I picked one up from Poundland (believe it or not!) and it got rid of the same smell in our Vel Satis... worth a try!

Re: ineed help check injection
I've got a 2.0 Mégane with a manual gearbox.
My check injection message was due to a faulty MAP sensor and worn wiring. Hope this helps!

Re: ESP retro-fit
Yep, I've been able to add heated seats and tyre pressure sensors so far
But any idea which one of the two this connector is for? I'm not sure whether it's cruise or ESP.

Re: ESP retro-fit
I had a look behind my panel and found this:
My car has neither cruise nor ESP... so which one is this connection for?

haha, yes. But then again, it is a french electrical system controlling it so you never know!

Re: Automatic Hazard Lights - On every Mégane?
yes its a standard feature for hazards Well I have had the ABS activated at 70+mph and no hazards were flashed :? Go out tomorrow, make sure there is nobody behind you and just jam on the brakes at 40 MPH. I mean properly jump on the pedal. I think the hazards are activated with the EBA (emergency ...

Re: PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE
Your car sounds to be equipped with Hands Free Renault Card. The car detects your presence and unlocks the car when you touch the handle. Try walking up to the locked car WITHOUT your key card, it shouldn't unlock then. You don't need to insert the card to start the car, and the little circular butt...

Had to buy all the valve sensors and have them fitted/programmed. About £180 all in it was.

Automatic Hazard Lights - On every Mégane?
Hi guys, I've had my Meggy for nearly two and a half years now and only recently have I noticed this feature. If I brake sharp, I mean properly slam them on, the hazard lights give a few flashes to warn the drivers behind - very, very clever I think, and makes emergency stops a little more fun :D I ...

Re: Renaults are crap...
I would rather walk than drive a Skoda. They are the most miserable, boring, VW-wannabe cars. It's the same with Toyotas, Nissans etc. I'd far rather be in a "fragile" Renault than be in some soul-less eurobox crap. I'm 19 and I've owned countless Lagunas, a few Vel Satis', some Clios and ...
