Re: megane 1.5 dci lack of power and white smoke

what age is your car? white smoke is unburnt fuel / vapour if your car is fitted with a dpf particulate filter, its more than likely that mate, it needs employes fluid to clkean it, but if your on the same one at 128 you've done bloody well, the fluid tank holds like 5 litres, and it costs a bomb pe...

Re: Turbo failure?

hi bud if turbo's shot or going, you'd notice a fair whack of smoke out he back, you can always, take off the inlet and see how much play there is in shaft, also there tends to be some noise from a turbo on the way out, egr may need cleaning mate, as you said. but again there must be some kinda smok...

Re: thinking of selling already

sadly thats the way a car makes you feel when it lets you down, i never spend over 2k on a car and i refuse to spend out on a car, i do minor things but if it explodes i'll have lost very little once stripped and sold. if you have replaced everything keep it, you'll only buy another car and have it ...

Re: Advice please! Cambelt and whining noise

the whining may be the auxillary belt, but if he's wiling to change the belt, i'd ask him to chnage everything in that area, both belts, water pump etc, if he will only do the belt, buy your own water pump and ask him to install it, the front windows, will be a simple enough fix, how much is the car...

Re: Oil in diesel engine

the diesel is all thats needed to lubricate, and engine oil does its job, adding anything else would end badly, as well, i'd have imagined the thicker grade actual oil will either sink to the bottom of thefuel tank craeating a barrier, or sit on top and not achieve anything, it wont mix well just do...

Re: Oil in diesel engine

sorry do you mean putting this in the engine or in the fuel tank?

if the latter NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! it will be a thicker substance for pipe work/pump etc etc and the car is mapped for diesel fuel, not some moonshine diesel.

Re: THE ENGINE TURNS OFF SADENLLY

yeah either of my previous guess's sounds like its having an issue regulating air and fuel mixture, even maybe lambda sensor, which is the exhaust gesses, this then contributes to what the ecu does fuelling etc.
