Alarm sensors where faulty and have been replaced. Had demonstration of the process to temp disable internal sensors, which was pressing the start button 5 times .So happy again.

Bought the changer, posted on the "code site" got a response straightaway.
Fitted changer today and the code worked.
No backlight wire in sight so not going to bother.

That single blue wire tells the cd changer to light up when your headlights are on. It goes into the loom for the radio display in the center of the dash. I just fitted my CD changer and it was straightforward as possible. You just need keys to remove the HU. I needed Renault dealers just for supplying the cable. I got my code for free on some forum.
