Re: hissing noise
Well, I've never heard it in mine so I'd suggest that it is not normal and that you have a leak.

Re: Renault Megane 1.9 dci ELECTRICAL PROBLEM
Position 1 on my wipers is rain-sensing mode. When you say it doesn't work, have you sprayed some water on the sensor in the top, centre of the windscreen? Have you tried a second keycard to see if that works? If you only have one, then I'd change the battery in it just to be sure. Then, I'd put a v...

Re: a pillar / windscreen trim removal mk 2 megane cc
Open the roof and then you will see a torx headed screw at the top of the A pillar. Remove the screw and then the trim slides up along the A pillar about 10mm - 15mm to release the trim from the heads of the clips.

Re: 1.9DCI engine breifly cutting out
I'd guess it is probably this, which has driven many of us mad for years until we finally worked out what was causing it!

I don't think there is any way to upload a picture to this forum. Your only option is to load it on a picture sharing website and then link to it from this one.

Re: What mpg do you get ?
My 1.9DCi convertable with 170,000 ish miles on it averages about 53 mpg in the summer and about 47 mpg in the winter on a mix of A roads and B roads, and that is with my very heavy right foot.

Do you mean one of these? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-megane-hood-flap-kit-headlight-wheel-arch-cover-front-left-3330-/161939107981?hash=item25b452b08d:m:muvbeuUfm0hLDeoRqpB7Y7g The round one is for the left (passenger side in the UK) and the elongated one is for the right.

Sounds like it may be this problem again - http://www.meganeownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21585&p=132495#p132495

Re: Injectors
Well they definitely do have problems on 1.5DCi engines, but personally on my 1.9DCi with 170,000 miles they are all still absolutely fine.

Re: 2004 Megane cc external A post trim
If you put the roof down, then you will then be able to see one torx-headed screw at the top of each A post trim. Once you undo that, then the whole trim slides up along the A post by about 10mm or so to release the heads of the clips from the slotted holes in the A posts so that it can then be lift...

Re: Blonde trying to work it out
Hi,
Have a look at this video to see how to get to the window mechanism -

I fixed one of mine a few years ago. In my case it was one of the mechanical lift cables that had broken.

Re: window switch
I can't remember which colour wire is which, but the window switches work by connecting the wire from the temic module to earth. One wire touched to earth makes the window go down, and a different wire to earth makes it go up. Check the wiring diagrams to see which colour wires you need to use, then...

Re: Air in my fuel line
Hi, There have been several discussions on here over the years about air in the fuel pipes on DCi engines. Some people have even changed the primer bulb for an electric pump to try and stop the bubbles. So, whilst you obviously do have a problem because your engine keeps stopping, please do be aware...

Re: Unusual engine problem
I wouldn't even bother changing it at first. Just try pulling the adjustable plunger out by a few clicks and see if that fixes it. (remember that the switch is in the passenger side on a right-hand drive car) Both myself and Triumph2.5man did dismantle and clean the contacts in our switches, but nei...

Re: Unusual engine problem
Hi, Yes, I know this sounds completely mad but please stick with me just for a few minutes when I say that it sounds like a problem with your brake-pedal switch! I had the same problem and it took me many, many months to work out what was causing it, but see here for how I finally managed to fix it....
